Family Law Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Family Law Act 1975.

1. Amendment
1.1 The Family Law Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]
2. Regulation 48 (Convention countries)
2.1 Omit the regulation, substitute;
Convention countries
“48. For the purposes of this Part, each of the following countries is a convention country:
(a) a country specified in Schedule 4;
(b) any other country in respect of which the Convention has entered into force for Australia.”.
3. Schedule 2 (Reciprocating jurisdictions)
3.1 After:
“Cyprus”,
insert:
“Czech Republic”.
4. Schedule 4 (Convention countries)
4.1 Omit:
“Czechoslovakia
German Federal Republic
Upper Volta
Yugoslavia”.
4.2 Insert the following countries in the Schedule according to alphabetical order determined on a letter by letter basis:
“Bosnia and Herzegovina
Burkina Faso
Cape Verde
Croatia
Cyprus
Czech Republic
Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro)
Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
Germany
Ireland
Mexico
Romania
Slovakia
Slovenia
Uruguay”.
