Customs Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Customs Act 1901.

Commencement

1. These Regulations commence on 1 July 1989.

Authority to deal with goods

2. Regulation 23aa of the Customs Regulations is amended by inserting after “entry” in subparagraph (1) (d) (i) “, subject to section 39 of the Customs Act”.

3. After regulation 107 of the Customs Regulations, the following regulation is inserted:

Manner of acceptance by Collector of estimated value of goods

“108. For the purposes of subsection 161k (2) of the Act, an authority under regulation 23aa is prescribed.”.
