Fisheries Management (Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Fisheries Management (Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

2.1   Subregulation 2 (1) (definition of “season”):

Omit the definition, substitute:

“ ‘season’ means:

 (a) the season commencing at the beginning of 1 November 1994 and ending at the end of 30 November 1995; and

 (b) for subsequent seasons—the period commencing at the beginning of 1 December in a year and ending at the end of 30 November of the following year;”.
