REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL HEALTH ACT 1953-1964.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the National Health Act 1953-1964.

Amendments of the National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits) Regulations.†
Commencement.
1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the first day of November, 1964.
Standards of composition and purity of pharmaceutical benefits and additives.
2. Regulation 35 of the National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits) Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words “Where the letters” and inserting in their stead the words “Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, where the letters”; and
(b) by inserting after sub-regulation (2.) the following sub-regulation:—
“(2a.) Where the letters ‘A.P.F. 1955’ appear after the name of the pharmaceutical benefit or the additive, the standards of composition and purity are those constituted by the description of that pharmaceutical benefit and its ingredients, or of that additive, as the case may be, in the edition of the book called the Australian Pharmaceutical Formulary published by the Pharmaceutical Association of Australia in the year 1955 as subsequently amended.”.
