Remuneration Tribunal (Miscellaneous

Provisions) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973.

Commencement

1. Regulation 2 commences on the date of commencement of Part 3 of the Judicial and Statutory Offices Remuneration Legislation Amendment Act 1989.

2. After Regulation 6 of the Remuneration Tribunal (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Remuneration of certain persons holding more than one office

7. For the purposes of subsection 7 (12) of the Act, a person who:

(a) holds office as a Judge of the Family Court of Australia within the meaning of Part IV of the Family Law Act 1975; and

(b) also holds office as a Judge of the Family Court of the State of Western Australia;

is entitled to be paid remuneration determined under the Act in respect of the office of Judge of the Family Court of Australia.”.
