Remuneration Tribunals (Miscellaneous

Provisions) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Remuneration Tribunals Act 1973.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Remuneration Tribunals (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations.

Part-time offices held by full-time officers

2. Regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulations (4) and (5) and substituting the following sub-regulations:

“(4) The person who, on the day of commencement of this sub-regulation, holds on a full-time basis the office of Employment Officer, position number 1157, in the Employment Operations Branch of the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations and holds on a part-time basis the office of member of the Merit Protection and Review Agency is, while holding the second-mentioned office, entitled to be paid in respect of that office the remuneration determined from time to time by the Remuneration Tribunal to be the remuneration to be paid to a person holding that second-mentioned office on a part-time basis.

“(5) Sub-regulation (4) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 July 1985.

“(6) The person who, on the day of commencement of this sub-regulation, holds on a full-time basis the office of Senior Adviser, position number 1386, in the Consultation and Information Branch of the Office of the Status of Women in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and holds on a part-time basis the office of member of the Merit Protection and Review Agency is, while holding the second-mentioned office, entitled to be paid in respect of that office the remuneration determined from time to time by the Remuneration Tribunal to be the remuneration to be paid to a person holding that second-mentioned office on a part-time basis.

“(7) Sub-regulation (6) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 July 1985.

“(8) The person who, on the day of commencement of this sub-regulation, holds on a full-time basis the office of Drafting Officer, position number 51, in the External Management Division of Telecom Australia and holds on a part-time basis the office of member of the Australian Expositions Committee is, while holding the second-mentioned office, entitled to be paid in respect of that office the remuneration determined from time to time by the Remuneration Tribunal to be the remuneration to be paid to a person holding that second-mentioned office on a part-time basis.

“(9) Sub-regulation (8) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 14 April 1985.”.

Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting—

“2a. Member of the Canberra Commercial Development Authority constituted by the Canberra Commercial Development Authority Ordinance 1974 of the Australian Capital Territory.”.
