Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975.

Regulation 13 of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:
Limit on discharge of persons from vessels or hovercraft
“13. A person operating a vessel or hovercraft must not permit more than 20 persons to be discharged from that vessel or hovercraft in a day at a place within a Zone of the Cairns Section listed in column 1 of the table unless that person has a permission, under the provision of the zoning plan listed in column 2 of the table opposite that Zone:
(a) to provide a tourist or educational facility; or
(b) to establish a tourist program; or
(c) to establish an educational program; or
(d) to undertake research or construction;
using that vessel or hovercraft to gain access to that place.
Penalty: $5,000.
