These Regulations were originally made under section 29 of the Banking Act 1945 and are continued in force under section 39 of the Banking Act 1959: see section 29 of the Banking (Transitional Provisions) Act 1959 and the Banking (Foreign Exchange) Regulations (Amendment) (SR 1960 No. 8). This instrument was backcaptured in accordance with Section 36 of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003
