Export Inspection (Quantity Charge)

Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Act 1985.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 December 1986.

Exemption from charge

2. Regulation 4 of the Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting paragraphs (b) and (c) and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(a) fruit, other than—

(i) dried tree fruit (other than prunes);

(ii) dried vine fruit; or

(iii) fresh fruit;

(b) fruit juice;

(c) fruit products;”; and

(b) by inserting after paragraph (d) the following paragraphs:

“(e) vegetables (other than fresh vegetables);

(f) vegetable juice;

(g) vegetable products”.

Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting item 5 and substituting the following item:

“5 Dried tree fruit other than prunes $4.00”;

(b) by omitting from item 6 “$5.20” and substituting “$4.00”; and

(c) by omitting the sub-heading “Fruit and vegetables and items 15, 16, 16a, 17 and 18.
