REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1975.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1975.

Amendments of the Defence (Prohibited Words and Letters)
Regulations†
Commencement.
1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 9 February 1976.
Amendments of the Defence (Prohibited Words and Letters) Regulations.
2. The Defence (Prohibited Words and Letters) Regulations are amended as set out in the following table:—
Provision | Amendment |
Regulation 2.................. | Omit paragraph (a), substitute the following paragraph:— |
| “ (a) a word or the words specified in the second column of the Schedule, being words which are descriptive or indicative of— |
| (i) in the case of a word or the words specified in Part I of the Schedule—a part of the Australian Navy; |
| (ii) in the case of words specified in Part II of the Schedule—a part of the Australian Army; or |
| (iii) in the case of the words specified in Part III of the Schedule—of a part of the Australian Air Force; or ”. |
| Omit from paragraph (b) “ second ”, substitute “ third ”. |
| Omit from paragraph (b) “ to these Regulations ”. |
| Omit from paragraph (b) “ Naval Forces, Military Forces or Air Forces ”, substitute “ Navy, Army or Air Force ”. |
