Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports

and Imports) (Fees) Regulations

I. THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under section 4 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901, hereby make the following Regulations under the Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1989.

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) (Fees) Regulations.

Interpretation

2. In these Regulations, “the Act” means the Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1989.

Application Fees

3. For the purposes of section 32 of the Act, the prescribed fee for an application or notice of a kind specified in Column 2 of an item in the Schedule is the fee set out in Column 3 of that item.

5	An application under section 27 of the Act to vary a permit	2,000
6	An application described in item 1, 2 or 4 that refers to the same:
	(a) kind of hazardous waste: and
	(b) place from which the hazardous waste is to be exported: and
	(c) place to which the hazardous waste is to be imported: and
	(d) way in which the hazardous waste is to be disposed of: and
	(e) person who is to receive the hazardous waste:
	as are referred to in a previous application made by the applicant, and that is made within 12 months of the first application made by the applicant that included that information	1,000
