Coal Mining Industry (Long Service Leave) Payroll Levy Regulations

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under section 4 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901, and having taken into consideration advice given to the Minister for Industrial Relations by the Coal Mining Industry (Long Service Leave Funding) Corporation under the Coal Mining Industry (Long Service Leave Funding) Act 1992, make the following Regulations under the Coal Mining Industry (Long Service Leave) Payroll Levy Act 1992.

Citation

 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Coal Mining Industry (Long Service Leave) Payroll Levy Regulations.

Commencement

 2. These Regulations commence on the same day as section 5 of the Act.

Interpretation

 3. In these Regulations:

“Act” means the Coal Mining Industry (Long Service Leave) Payroll Levy Act 1992.

Rate of levy

 4. For the purposes of section 5 of the Act, 5 per cent is the prescribed percentage of the eligible wages paid.
