This instrument amends the Telecommunications Regulations 2021 to extend the operation of sections 15A and 15B by 12 months (until 12 October 2024) and updating the format required for ministerial prescription of additional kinds of information or documents that may be used or disclosed under s15A and 15B to legislative instruments.

1  Name

                   This instrument is the Telecommunications Amendment (Disclosure of Information for the Purpose of Cyber Security) Regulations 2023.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

                   This instrument is made under the Telecommunications Act 1997.
