
Radiocommunications (Spectrum Licence Tax) Amendment Determination 2023 (No. 1)
The Australian Communications and Media Authority makes the following determination under subsection 7(1) of the Radiocommunications (Spectrum Licence Tax) Act 1997.

1 Name
This is the Radiocommunications (Spectrum Licence Tax) Amendment Determination 2023 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
This instrument commences at the start of the day after the day it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

3 Authority
This instrument is made under subsection 7(1) of the Radiocommunications (Spectrum Licence Tax) Act 1997.
4 Amendments
The instrument that is specified in Schedule 1 is amended as set out in the applicable items in that Schedule.

1 Clause 2 of Schedule 1 (table item 9)
Omit the item, substitute:

2 Clause 1 of Schedule 2 (definition of total annual EME Component)
Omit the definition (including the note), substitute:
total annual EME Component means, for the 2023-2024 financial year, $2,014,000.
Note: For later financial years, the ACMA must increase the total annual EME Component (see subsection 7(2) of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (Modifications to Apparatus and Spectrum Licences Taxes) Direction 2020). That direction is available, free of charge, from the Federal Register of Legislation at www.legislation.gov.au.
