This instrument amends the Defence Determination 2016/19, Conditions of service to amend the rates of contribution that members must make for their living-in accommodation, and implement annual reviews of the Group Rent Scheme and allowances that members may receive for, and the contributions they are required to make towards, the cost of their accommodation, meals and utilities.

1  Name

This instrument is the Defence Determination, Conditions of service (Living–in accommodation and review of housing contributions and allowances) Amendment Determination 2023 (No. 2).

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on 2 March 2023.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.

4  Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
