I, Elsy Brammesan, delegate of the Minister for Health and Aged Care, make this Determination under subsection 84HA(1) of the National Health Act 1953 (the Act), and having in accordance with subsection 84HA(2) of the Act obtained the written agreement of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.

1  Name

(1)   This instrument is the National Health (Concession Card or Entitlement Card Fee) Amendment Determination 2022.

(2)   This instrument may also be cited as PB 110 of 2022.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

                   This instrument is made under section 84HA of the National Health Act 1953.

Schedule 1Amendments

National Health (Concession Card or Entitlement Card Fee) Determination 2021 (PB 133 of 2021)

1  Section 6

Repeal the section, substitute:

6  Fee payable to approved pharmacist etc. for issuing card

      (1)         For the purposes of section 84HA of the National Health Act 1953, the fee payable for the issue of a card of a kind mentioned in subsection (2) is $11.42.

      (2)         The kinds of cards are:

              (a)         a safety net concession card;

              (b)         a pharmaceutical benefits entitlement card; and

              (c)         an additional or replacement card for a kind of card mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b).
