This instrument amends the Norfolk Island Continued Laws Ordinance 2015 with the effect of amending the Removal of Prisoners Act 2004 (NI) to list Queensland as a State for the purposes of where a prisoner from Norfolk Island can be transferred to in order to undergo imprisonment or other detention in custody.

1  Name

                   This Ordinance is the Norfolk Island Continued Laws Amendment (Removal of Prisoners) Ordinance 2022.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of this Ordinance specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.
