The instrument exempts the registered operator of an exempted aircraft and persons carrying out specified maintenance on exempted aircraft from compliance with the requirements of regulation 42U and paragraphs 42W(2)(b) and (4)(a) and (c) of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988.
