1  Name

                   These Rules are the High Court (2022 Sittings) Rules 2021.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of these Rules specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

1.  The whole of these Rules

The day after these Rules are registered.

3  Authority

                   These Rules are made under the Judiciary Act 1903.

4  Sittings of the High Court in 2022

             (1)  Sittings of a Full Court of the High Court are to be held at Canberra and other places as required during the following periods:

 

Monday 7 February 2022 to Friday 18 February 2022

Monday 7 March 2022 to Friday 18 March 2022

Monday 4 April 2022 to Thursday 14 April 2022

Monday 2 May 2022 to Friday 13 May 2022

Monday 6 June 2022 to Friday 17 June 2022

Monday 8 August 2022 to Friday 19 August 2022

Monday 5 September 2022 to Friday 16 September 2022

Monday 10 October 2022 to Friday 21 October 2022

Monday 7 November 2022 to Friday 18 November 2022

Monday 5 December 2022 to Friday 16 December 2022

 

             (2)  Sittings of a Full Court of the High Court to hear applications for special leave to appeal to the High Court are to be held on the following days:

5  Repeal of these Rules

                   These Rules are repealed at the start of 1 January 2023.
