CASA 86/20 Directions/Civil Aviation as made
This instrument amends CASA 55/20 — Operation of Certain Unmanned Aircraft Directions 2020 so that the Civil Aviation Safety Authority may approve a person to operate indoor micro RPAs (a kind of remotely piloted aircraft) less than 30 metres from a person who does not have duties essential to its control or navigation.

CASA 86/20  Operation of Certain Unmanned Aircraft Directions Amendment Instrument 2020

1          Name

                 This instrument is CASA 86/20  Operation of Certain Unmanned Aircraft Directions Amendment Instrument 2020.

2          Commencement

                 This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3          Amendments

                 CASA 55/20 — Operation of Certain Unmanned Aircraft Directions 2020 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Schedule 1          Amendments

[1]        Before paragraph 9 (3) (a)

insert

(aa)  to the operation indoors of a micro RPA if the person holds an approval given by CASA for the purposes of this paragraph; or

[2]        Further amendments

The following provisions are amended by omitting “subregulation” and inserting “subsection”:

·            subsection 9 (2)

·            subsection 9 (3)

·            subsection 10 (2).
