This instrument amends the Child Care Subsidy Minister’s Rules 2017 to extend the relaxation of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) activity test to help individuals impacted by COVID-19 to get back into their workforce participation activities. It also increases the cap on the appropriation in section 233 of the A New Tax System (Family Assistance) (Administration) Act 1999 for payments under the Community Child Care Fund Special Circumstances (CCCF-SC) Grant Opportunity program for the 2020-2021 financial year from $623 million to $949 million.

1  Name

                   This instrument is the Child Care Subsidy Amendment (Coronavirus Response Measures No. 7) Minister’s Rules 2020.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.
