Remuneration Tribunal Amendment Determination (No. 5) 2020

Determinations/Remuneration Tribunal as made
This instrument amends the Remuneration Tribunal (Judicial and Related Offices—Remuneration and Allowances) Determination 2020, Remuneration Tribunal (Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Full-time Public Office) Determination 2020 and Remuneration Tribunal (Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Part-time Public Office) Determination 2020 to, among other things, set temporary recreation leave arrangements, remuneration, travel tier and special provisions, a personal superannuation salary, remove references, set accommodation and reunion travel assistance, extend annual fees, remove personal remuneration and set additional fees for specified persons or offices. It also removes the Anti-Doping Rules Violation Panel that is no longer in operation.

1  Name

                   This instrument is the Remuneration Tribunal Amendment Determination (No. 5) 2020.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

                   This instrument is made under subsections 7(3) and (4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973.

                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Special arrangements for the COVID‑19 pandemic

             (6)  Despite subsection (4), if, at the end of 2020, the Judge has a balance of recreation leave accrued during 2020, the Judge may retain up to 2 weeks of that balance for use before the end of 2022.

Aboriginal Hostels Limited

On and after 10 June 2020, a member (other than the Chair) who is also appointed to the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee or the Asset Management Committee is entitled to additional fees as follows:

(a) for the Chair of the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee—$16,320 per year;

(b) for a member of the Audit, Risk and Finance Committee—$8,160 per year;

(c) for the Chair of the Asset Management Committee—$8,160 per year;

(d) for a member of the Asset Management Committee—$4,080 per year.

A member who is covered by more than one of the above paragraphs receives only the highest additional fee for any of the paragraphs that applies to the member.
