This instrument amends Part 2 of the List of Specimens Taken to be Suitable for Live Import (29/11/2001), established under section 303EB of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, by adding Mustela putorius furo (domestic ferret) to the Live Import List with the conditions ‘Research Only. High Security Facilities only’.

List of Specimens taken to be Suitable for Live Import Amendment
(domestic ferret) Instrument 2020

 

I, Sussan Ley, Minister for the Environment, pursuant to subparagraph 303EC(1)(a)(i) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, and having considered a report under subparagraph 303EC(5)(a) of that Act, make the following amendment to Part 2 of the List of Specimens Taken to be Suitable for Live Import (29/11/2001):

 

1.      Under the heading ‘Vertebrate Animals’, ‘Mammals (Mammalia)’
in the appropriate alphabetic position:

Research only. High security facilities only.

 

 

This instrument commences the day after registration.
