Biosecurity Amendment (International Mail Fee) Regulations 2020

This instrument amends the Biosecurity Regulation 2016 to repeal the fees payable by Australia Post for assessing and managing the biosecurity risk associated with international mail received by Australia Post for the financial years beginning on 1 July 2016, 1 July 2017 and 1 July 2018. It further provides that the fee for this service for each financial year beginning on or after 1 July 2019 is $15.3 million.

1  Name

                   This instrument is the Biosecurity Amendment (International Mail Fee) Regulations 2020.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.
