These regulations temporarily increase the fees for bulk billing incentive items in the Health Insurance (General Medical Services Table) Regulations 2019, Health Insurance (Diagnostic Imaging Services Table) Regulations 2019 and the Health Insurance (Pathology Services Table) Regulations 2019 as part of Stage Four of the Government’s health care package to protect all Australians from the coronavirus (COVID-19). The fees increases are intended to cease on 30 September 2020, unless earlier revoked.

1  Name

                   This instrument is the Health Insurance Legislation Amendment (Bulk-billing Incentive) Regulations 2020.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.
