This instrument amends the List of CITES Species for the Purposes of the Act (29/11/2001) to rectify a misdescribed amendment by transferring the listing of Western Bristlebird (Dasyornis longirostris) from Appendix I to Appendix II as agreed at Conference 18 and to correctly apply the amendments agreed at Conference 18 as specified in Notification to the Parties 2019/067. This notification makes a small number of changes to the text circulated in Notification to the Parties 2019/052.

List of CITES Species Amendment (Conference 18) (Correction) Instrument 2020

I, Louise Vickery, Assistant Secretary, Environment Approvals and Wildlife Trade Branch, delegate of the Minister for the Environment pursuant to paragraphs 303CA(9)(b) and (c) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, amend the List of CITES Species established under subsection 303CA(1) of that Act, as set out in Schedule 1 to this Instrument.

This instrument commences 26 November 2019.

Notes: CITES means the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora made at Washington on 3 March 1973, as amended and in force for Australia from time to time.
