1  Name

                   This instrument is the National Health Security (National Notifiable Disease List) Instrument 2018.

3  Authority

                   This instrument is made under section 11 of the National Health Security Act 2007.

5  Definitions

                   In this instrument:

Act means the National Health Security Act 2007.

NEC has the meaning given by subsection 6(2).

6  Establishment of the National Notifiable Disease List

             (1)  For the purposes of subsection 11(1) of the Act, the following list of diseases (to be called the National Notifiable Disease List) is established:

             (2)  NEC, in relation to a disease, means not elsewhere classified in the National Notifiable Disease List.

 

Note: Human coronavirus with pandemic potential ceases to be on the National Notifiable Disease List at the end of the period of 6 months after the National Health Security (National Notifiable Disease List) Amendment Instrument 2020 took effect due to subsection 12(4) of the National Health Security Act 2007.

Misdescribed amendments

A misdescribed amendment is an amendment that does not accurately describe the amendment to be made.
