This instrument amends the List of Specimens Taken to be Suitable for Live Import (29/11/2001) to include Mico argentatus (Silvery Marmoset) in Part 2 with the condition: “Eligible non-commercial purpose only, excluding household pets.”. It allows live specimens of Mico argentatus to be imported into Australia with an import permit.

List of Specimens taken to be Suitable for Live Import Amendment (Silvery Marmoset) Instrument 2019

 

I, Sussan Ley, Minister for the Environment, pursuant to subparagraph 303EC(1)(a)(i) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, and having considered a report under subparagraph 303EC(5)(a) of that Act, make the following amendments to the List of Specimens Taken to be Suitable for Live Import (29/11/2001):

 

1.      Part 2 of the List: Under the heading ‘Vertebrate Animals’, Class: Mammals (Mammalia) in the appropriate alphabetic position:
