This instrument varies the Repatriation Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and the MRCA Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme to mirror changes initiated by the Department of Health to the National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits) Regulations 2017 for the purposes of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.
The variations make amendments to support the regulation of electronic prescriptions and specifically provide assurance for privacy and security, and amend the schemes to require the inclusion of active ingredients on Repatriation Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme prescriptions (including medications chart prescriptions) with some exceptions.
