This instrument amends the Acts Interpretation Substituted Reference Order 2017, made under section 19B of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 to vary the operation of multiple legislative provisions to ensure that ministers, secretaries of departments of state and Australian public service employees can exercise relevant powers granted under legislation in accordance with the responsibilities outlined in the Administrative Arrangements Order of 29 May 2019, or in the case of the National Indigenous Australians Agency, conferred by Executive Order.

1  Name

                   This instrument is the Acts Interpretation Amendment Substituted Reference Order 2019.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.
