These regulations amend the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Regulations 1995 to make various changes to the controls on supply and use of scheduled substances. Changes are made to the supply and use of methyl bromide for feedstock and fumigant uses, specifically a revised exemption process for use of methyl bromide as a non-quarantine and pre-shipment use fumigant. The instrument also makes various amendments to streamline the operation of the refrigeration and air conditioning and fire protection industry end use permit schemes.
