Authoritative Version
Regulations as made
These regulations (the Regulations) remake the Evidence Regulations 1995 (the Principle Regulations) with minor amendments to ensure the Regulations remain fit for purpose and meet the needs of the community. The Regulations remove a section in the Principal Regulations which referred to a repealed section of the Act; add the Evidence Act 2011 (ACT) to section 9 of the Regulations as a prescribed Act for the purpose of self-incrimination certificates; amend Forms 2 and 3 in Schedule 1 to the Regulations to align with current practice in relation to fingerprint evidence; and repeal the Principal Regulations (Schedule 2).
