These regulations amend the Charter of the United Nations (Sanctions—Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) Regulations 2008 to implement certain provisions of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions to allow Australia to not register, or deregister, North Korea-related vessels. They also introduce prohibitions on the provision of certain services to vessels specified by the Foreign Minister in accordance with UN sanction obligations.
