This instrument amends the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 23/02 – Passenger Car Tyres) 2007 to implement transition arrangements from this vehicle standard to a later vehicle standard. Under these arrangements, compliance to the new standard ADR 23/03 exempts a manufacturer from having to comply with ADR 23/02.

1.1.                                    Name of Legislative Instrument

1.1.1.                              This instrument is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 23/02 – Passenger Car Tyres) 2007 Amendment 2.

1.2.                                    Commencement

1.2.1.                              This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

2.                                          amendment of vehicle standard

2.1.                                    The changes specified in Schedule 1 amend the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 23/02 – Passenger Car Tyres) 2007.

 

Schedule 1

[1]               Clause 3, omit “3.6” (first occurring), substitute “3.7”.

[2]               Clause 3.6, renumber as clause 3.7.

[3]               Insert a new clause 3.6 to read:

“Vehicles fitted with passenger car tyres certified to ADR 23/03 or a later version need not comply with this rule.”
