This instrument prescribes the conditions for when an injury under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 will be a 'catastrophic injury' for the purposes of the Act. Compensation for household services and attendant care services obtained as a result of a catastrophic injury is payable under section 29A of the Act.
