Orders/Other as made
This instrument imposes additional conditions on holders of export licences who export sheep by sea to the Middle East, as defined in circumstances where the vessel on which the sheep are being transported departs Australia between May and October (which are the hottest months of the year in the northern hemisphere) and will travel through waters in the Arabian Sea north of latitude 11o N at any time during the voyage. In practice, the order will apply to all voyages to the Persian Gulf and those that travel to, or through, the Red Sea which commence during that time of the year.
