1  Name

                   These Rules are the High Court (2019 Sittings) Rules 2018.

2  Commencement

             (1)  Each provision of these Rules specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

1.  The whole of these Rules

The day after these Rules are registered.

                   These Rules are made under the Judiciary Act 1903.

4  Sittings of the High Court in 2019

             (1)  Sittings of a Full Court of the High Court are to be held at Canberra and other places as required during the following periods:

Tuesday 12 March 2019 to Friday 22 March 2019

Monday 8 April 2019 to Thursday 18 April 2019

Monday 6 May 2019 to Friday 17 May 2019

Tuesday 11 June 2019 to Friday 21 June 2019

Monday 5 August 2019 to Friday 16 August 2019

Monday 2 September 2019 to Friday 13 September 2019

Tuesday 8 October 2019 to Friday 18 October 2019

Monday 4 November 2019 to Friday 15 November 2019

Monday 2 December 2019 to Friday 13 December 2019

 

             (2)  Sittings of a Full Court of the High Court to hear applications for special leave to appeal to the High Court are to be held on the following days:

5  Repeal of these Rules

                   These Rules are repealed at the start of 1 January 2020.
