Rules/Other as made
This rule applies a permanence period discount of 25 per cent to short-rotation plantation forestry projects that nominate a 25-year permanence period. The amendment rule also establishes a role for the Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources to assess whether proposed new plantation forestry projects would have an undesirable impact on agricultural production in the surrounding region. The Clean Energy Regulator cannot approve a project found to have an undesirable impact.
