This instrument revokes and replaces the Radiocommunications Advisory Guidelines (Managing Interference from Apparatus-licensed and Class-licensed Transmitters – 2 GHz Band) 2015 to take into account the modernisation of mobile communications technologies as well as to allow for developments that may be expected to take place in the next spectrum licence period. The guidelines commence on 12 October 2017 and revoke the 2015 Advisory Guidelines on that same day.
