This instrument amends ASIC Class Order [CO 14/509] to defer the start date until 1 July 2017 for certain disclosures required under subsection 29QB(1) of the SIS Act for standard employer-sponsored sub-plans, giving RSE licensees enough time to comply with the full requirements of s 29QB.

Part 1—Preliminary

1        Name of legislative instrument

This is the ASIC Superannuation (Amendment) Instrument 2016/345.

2        Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

Note:    The register may be accessed at www.legislation.gov.au.

3        Authority

This instrument is made under section 335 of the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993.

4        Schedule

Each instrument that is specified in Schedule 1 to this instrument is amended as set out in the applicable item in the Schedule.


Schedule 1—Amendments

ASIC Class Order [CO 14/509]

1        In paragraph 6 (notional subregulation 2.38(4A))

Omit “1 July 2016” (twice occurring), substitute “30 June 2017”.
