Amendment of List of Exempt Native Specimens

 

 

 

I, PAUL MURPHY, Assistant Secretary, Wildlife Trade and Biosecurity Branch, as Delegate of the Minister for the Environment, pursuant to subsection 303DC(1) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act), hereby amend the list of exempt native specimens established under section 303DB of the EPBC Act by revoking the conditions to which inclusion of items set out in Schedule 1 were subject, and imposing new conditions as set out in Schedule 1.

Specimens that are or are derived from fish or invertebrates, other than specimens that belong to species listed under Part 13 of the EPBC Act, taken in the Torres Strait Finfish Fishery, as defined in the Torres Strait Finfish Fishery Management Plan 2013 in force under the Torres Strait Fisheries Act 1984.

Torres Strait Finfish Fishery

The specimen, or the fish or invertebrate from which it is derived, was taken lawfully;

The specimens are included in the list until 25 November 2016.

 

Specimens that are or are derived from fish or invertebrates, other than specimens that belong to species listed under Part 13 of the EPBC Act, taken in the Torres Strait Prawn Fishery, as defined in the Torres Strait Prawn Fishery Management Plan 2009 in force under the Torres Strait Fisheries Act 1984.

Torres Strait Prawn Fishery

The specimen, or the fish or invertebrate from which it is derived, was taken lawfully;

The specimens are included in the list until 16 December 2016.

Specimens that are or are derived from fish or invertebrates, other than specimens that belong to species listed under Part 13 of the Act, taken in the Developmental Octopus Fishery, as defined in the Western Australian Fish Resources Management Act 1994 and Fish Resources Management Regulations 1995.

Western Australian Octopus Fisheries

The specimen, or the fish or invertebrate from which it is derived, was taken lawfully;

The specimens are included in the list until 17 March 2017.

Specimens that are or are derived from fish or invertebrates, other than specimens that belong to species listed under Part 13 of the EPBC Act, taken in the Western Australian South Coast Trawl Fishery as defined in the Western Australian Department of Fisheries Exemption Number 2215 relating to the South Coast Trawl Fishery made under the Western Australian Fish Resources Management Act 1994 and the Western Australian Fish Resources Management Regulations 1995.
