EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Authority for making the instrument:  Program and Awards Statute 2013, section 6 and Academic Progress Rule 2015, section 22.

 

 

2. Purpose and operation of the instrument:  The Order is made under Academic Progress Rule 2015, section 17, which states enables an Order to be made to make provision about the academic performance of medical students, including the effect of unsatisfactory performance.

 

3. Documents incorporated in the instrument by reference:  None.

 

 

4. Consultation process:  The Order was made by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) after consultation with the ANU Medical School.
