This regulation amends the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011 to reduce the scope of activities that fall within the definition of sanctioned service under the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations by removing reference to ‘a military activity’ as it relates to Burma.

1  Name

                   This is the Autonomous Sanctions Amendment (Myanmar) Regulation 2015.

2  Commencement

                   This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

                   This instrument is made under the Autonomous Sanctions Act 2011.

4  Schedules

                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011

1  Subregulation 5(4) (cell at table item 3, column headed “Activity”)

Repeal the cell, substitute:

 

The manufacture, maintenance or use of an export sanctioned good for Myanmar.
