This regulation amends the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Regulations 2011 as part of the ongoing implementation of the Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI). It specifies further project types which are eligible for participation under the CFI (using phytocaps on landfills, sequestering soil carbon in grazing systems, and early finishing of beef cattle). The regulation also extends the crediting period for soil carbon projects and aims to clarify CFI administrative arrangements by updating a reference to the New South Wales (NSW) Crown lands Minister.
