Specification of Prohibited Drugs No.1 of 2014

This instrument provides to specify as benzodiazepines and performance and image enhancing drugs as prohibited drugs for the purposes of the drug and alcohol testing regime under the Customs Administration Act 1985.

General Comments: This item was originally made under section 16H of the Customs Administration Act 1985 which was repealed on 1 July 2015. This item is taken to be made under subsection 4(3) of the Australian Border Force Act 2015 from 1 July 2015 (see Schedule 9 section 4 of the Customs and Other Legislation Amendment (Australian Border Force) Act 2015).

CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION ACT 1985

SECTION 16H

SPECIFICATION OF PROHIBITED DRUGS NO.1 OF 2014

I, MICHAEL PEZZULLO, Chief Executive Officer of Customs, pursuant to section 16H of the Customs Administration Act 1985 (the Administration Act), specify each drug listed in the table at Attachment A as a prohibited drug for the purposes of section 3 of the Administration Act.

 

This instrument commences on the day on which it is signed.
