This regulation amends the Fair Work Regulations 2009 and the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Regulations 2002 to prescribe the Secretary of DFAT as the employing authority for the purposes of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Fair Work Act) and as the principal officer for the purposes of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

1  Name of regulation

                   This regulation is the Fair Work and Other Legislation Amendment (AusAID) Regulation 2013.

2  Commencement

                   This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

                   This regulation is made under the Fair Work Act 2009 and the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

4  Schedule(s)

                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
