EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Authority for making the instrument.  Residential Colleges Affiliation Statute 2013, section 13.

 

 

2. Purpose and operation of the instrument.  The Rules require an affiliated residential college to formulate draft rules in relation to the standard of behaviour for its members, non-resident members and visitors, and to provide certain reports on discipline and conduct to the University.  College rules will be incorporated into these Rules as a schedule to the Rules. 

 

 

3. Documents incorporated in the instrument by reference.  None.

 

 

4. Consultation process.  The Rules were made by the Council of the University at its meeting on 4 October 2013.
