This order amends the Export Control (Prescribed Goods-General) Order 2005 to introduce an extra small size option for the official Halal mark for red meat and red meat products, and extend the transition period (which currently ceases on 23 February 2013) until 23 August 2013 to allow industry time to update their systems and achieve compliance with the new mark requirements.
