This instrument sets out the detailed rules for implementing and monitoring offsets projects under the Carbon Farming Initiative that sequester carbon by establishing and maintaining trees that have the potential to attain a height of at least 2 metres, and a crown cover of at least 20%, on land that has previously been used for agricultural purposes in any part of Australia.
