This determination amends the Family Law (Superannuation) (Provision of Information - SA Local Government Superannuation Scheme) Determination 2003 so that the current valuation of superannuation interests for members of the South Australian Local Government Superannuation Scheme will continue to apply once they become members of the South Australian Statewide Superannuation Trust.

1              Name of determination

                This determination is the Family Law (Superannuation) (Provision of Information—SA Local Government Superannuation Scheme) Amendment Determination 2012 (No. 1).

2              Commencement

                This determination commences on 1 July 2012.

3              Amendment of Family Law (Superannuation) (Provision of Information—SA Local Government Superannuation Scheme) Determination 2003

                Schedule 1 amends the Family Law (Superannuation) (Provision
of Information—SA Local Government Superannuation Scheme) Determination 2003
.

[1]           Section 3, definition of Rules

substitute

Rules means the rules set out in Division 9 of the trust deed.

[2]           Section 3, definition of SA Local Government Superannuation Scheme

omit

subclause 3 (1) of Schedule 1 to the Local Government Act 1999 (SA).

insert

paragraph 2 (1) (b) of Schedule 1 to the Local Government (Superannuation Scheme) Amendment Act 2008 of South Australia.

insert

trust deed means the declaration of trust dated 1 May 1986, made by Statewide Superannuation Pty Ltd, as amended and in force on 1 July 2012.
